About us
NextGen is a ministry dedicated to growing the Kingdom of God by warmly inviting people of all ages to encounter Jesus. We encourage each person in their faith journey and help connect them with churches and communities that foster discipleship and growth.
Our Vision
Matthew 9:35-38“And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” In this passage, Jesus models a vision of compassion-driven ministry as He travels, teaching, proclaiming the gospel, and healing all kinds of suffering.
Inspired by Jesus’ compassion, we are called to serve those in need, share His message of hope and healing, and equip others to join His mission. Together, we embody Christ’s love as we raise disciples, sending laborers into the harvest to reach a world ready for the gospel.
Our Mission
Our mission is to point people to Jesus, believing that everyone is invited to have a relationship with Him. We strive to connect individuals with a local church, unite generations, and bring families together in a shared journey of faith.
Connecting to the Local Church
We are a community that invites people to Jesus and seeks to connect them to churches in their hometowns.
Unity Across Generational Lines
We want to see the bond between different generations grow and encourage all generations to support one another in seeking Jesus.
Bringing Families Together
We want to reach families as a whole, disciplining young children and adults

Our history

NextGen’s story began with gatherings like CECYC (Cambodian East Coast Youth Conference) and YAR (Young Adult Retreat), which connected young believers and helped them grow in faith. Over time, these events came to an end. Later, the second generation of PCEC (Philadephia Cambodian Evangelical Church), led by Living Water Church, took up the mission by hosting yearly church retreats that brought people together for worship and renewal. However, when COVID forced Living Water to close, the future of these retreats was uncertain.
That’s when NextGen stepped in. Continuing the retreat tradition, NextGen became a ministry connecting people to Christ, each other, and a church community. Today, NextGen builds on this legacy, staying true to its roots while creating new opportunities for connection and growth.
